We are looking for a number of operatives to join our team. Experience of working within a Glasshouse environment would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work without constant supervision.

  • Knowledge of Butters products would be an advantage.

  • Experience of working within a glasshouse environment would be an advantage.

  • Experience of potting and packing and working on a production line.

  • Experience of spacing and watering new plants.

SUPERVISOR – Pinchbeck

  • Proven track record of working within a nursery/glasshouse environment.

  • Experience of distributing daily and weekly workload to the team.

  • Ability to review and improve on current working practices.

  • Team management – daily hours, holidays and absences.

  • KPI reporting to the management team.

  • Experience of meeting targets and deadlines.

  • Good verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Nursery Sprayer Operative

This person ideally will already have experience of using chemicals and hold a Pa1 & Pa6 certificate in spraying, along with a good knowledge of crops. This person will also support the team by carrying out a number of other nursery duties. 

Role/Skills: Have or be willing to train in Pa1 & Pa6 spraying certificate - Knowledge of crops and experience of Nursery environment - A keen interest in the growing of product - A willingness to undergo any training required for the role - Cost and budget awareness.

Shift Pattern:  Core hours will be 7.30am – 4.00pm, with a flexible approach to working hours to cover business peaks and demand.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Creating and designing products.

  • Selling & presenting to supermarkets and online customer accounts.

  • Negotiating & engineering costs from hardware to packaging.

  • Daily dealings with Far East suppliers.

  • Maintaining product development trackers.

  • Sourcing new hardware & design ideas.

  • Ensuring internal stakeholders are kept aware at all stages of development. 

  • Managing the critical path process and samples for all customer presentations, press shows & photo-shoots.

  • Be aware of current and forthcoming trends.
